The Educational Assistant training prepares participants to work effectively in childcare, daycare or school settings, by introducing them to the basics of child development, communication and educational intervention.

During 6 weeks of training, you will learn how to support children in their daily activities, ensure their safety and promote their overall development in a healthy and stimulating environment.

• Roles and responsibilities of the educational assistant

• Child Development Basics (0-12 years)

• Positive coaching and behavior management

• Hygiene, safety and first aid in educational settings

• Support for educational and recreational activities

• Professional communication with parents and the educational team

 

Training objective:

To train competent, caring and attentive professionals, capable of supporting the teacher in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities intended for children.

 

Target audience:

Anyone wishing to enter the early childhood field or acquire initial professional experience in an educational environment.

 

Certification:

A recognized training certificate is awarded at the end of the program, opening the way to employment in daycares, CPEs or school daycare services across Quebec.
